    • Idea was conceived back in December, 2017 to develop Pakistan’s 1st Signature Golf Course
    • Firms evaluation started for design and consultancy

  • March
    • Meeting held with Faldo Design Team for designing of RG&CC.
  • June
    • Contract agreement signed with “FDI” for design
  • July
    • Desert Group was engaged on recommendation of FDI through Channel Architect & Engineers for Project Management
  • November
    • Ground Breaking ceremony held on 22 Nov 2018
      • General Qamar Javed Bajwa, NI(M), HI(M) - Chief of the Army Staff (Chief Guest)
      • Sir Nick Faldo – 6 Times Major Champion (Guest of Honor)

  • January
    • Import of machinery started by DHA Multan, Channel Architect, Desert Group and Jade Machinery..
  • April
    • Contract was awarded to Desert Group to translate the vision of Sir Nick Faldo.
  • May
    • Desert Group and M/S 4M were mobilized to commence development works of RG&CC
  • October
    • Golf Course development machinery arrived
    • Golf Course development commenced

  • March
    • M/S Usman Engr took over the site from main golf course contractor (M/s 4 M) for Earthworks and allied works
  • March & April
    • Work remained suspended.
  • Dev took place in two stages:-
    • Back Nine
    • Front Nine

    • Golf Course completed in May in 18 months record time.

    • The long-awaited Rumanza Golf and Country club is set to officially launch on 25 – 26 February an exciting invitational event – the Rumanza Inaugural – welcoming four international golf stars and two of Pakistan’s greatest golfers along with 6-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo and a host of celebrities.
    • The invitational player field includes 2010 US Open Champion, 11-time DP World Tour winner, 4-time PGA Tour winner and 2021 European Ryder Cup vice-captain Graeme McDowell from Northern Ireland. McDowell will be joined by 2021 Spanish Open winner, 4-time DP World Tour winner, and previous European Ryder Cup star Rafa Cabrera-Bello from Spain
    • 6-time Ladies European Tour winner, LPGA winner and star 2021 European Solheim Cup player Mel Reid; along with 3-time Ladies European Tour winner, LPGA winner with 25 top-10 finishes and 5-time European Solheim Cup player Charley Hull will represent the ladies
    • Pakistan will also be represented – male pro Ahmed Baig will join the international stars as well as promising young female amateur Amna Amjed. Baig from Lahore turned pro in 2019 and is currently ranked number 2 on the Pakistan Pro Tour with 5 PAK Pro Tour wins under his belt. Amjed, aged 17, is Pakistan’s top ranked amateur female. At just 14 years old she became the youngest ever female winner of the PAK Amateur Championship.
